My name is Anouk Plugge and I studied at Leiden University. After earning a BA in Law with business studies as my minor, I completed a Masters in Civil Law with a specific focus on Intellectual Property Law.
Even before I finished my degree, I wanted to know more about the opportunities for law graduates in the corporate sector.
So when I left university, I looked for legal vacancies in the business world, and that took me to the Legadex website. Their focus on the latest technological developments in legal applications appealed to me straightaway. So I got in touch with Christine Hagens and applied for a job with them. I joined Legadex in November 2016. After a year as a Support Lawyer, I went on to become a Legal Project Manager, a job I’ve been doing for just over six months.
My main duties involve overseeing transaction deals with the help of Artificial Intelligence. I also regularly work with our clients at their own offices, where I help them set up and maintain corporate housekeeping and contract management systems.
The thing I most enjoy about my job is the variety. My day-to-day duties include setting up a work process for collating and structuring a large quantity of documentation, building a VDR, using Artificial Intelligence, advising clients and managing a group of students.
I’ve seen and learned a great deal in the 18 months I’ve been with Legadex. For example, in my first month I even went abroad to provide a service to a client. I’ve also worked at many different companies, which has given me a good overview of the different corporate cultures. After a course, I went on to become a Project Manager and I now work on my own projects. I’ve acquired a lot of legal and technical knowledge, and am now an expert in setting up and implementing M&A and corporate projects as efficiently as possible.
